The next reunion for the HKCSSST
We all agree that the reunion for the 40th anniversary
was a well organised function, enabling the members to catch up
with friends of yesteryears. However, we simply did not have enough
time to talk to one another in June, not to say to make new friends.
Moreover, we can’t afford to wait for another 40 years before we
meet again. So, it is time to plan for another reunion again.
Which better venue can we have but sunny Sydney for
the occasion? We have the beach, the mountains, Alex’s wine and
the ‘colourful’ Aussie gang, as previously described by one of the
more senior members. Come on, join us at Down Under. Since it would
be too far away from home for most of you, we can guarantee we will
have more time to talk this time, unless you want to escape either
by swimming east to the ocean, or running towards the west to the
desert. There is also plenty of opportunity for bush walks for the
energetics.
By the way, people say that our English is different.
In order to prepare you for a more pleasant trip to Australia, I
have prepared a list of Aussie slangs. You can either do it at your
own pace (there is no time limit set yet), or enter into a competition.
Anyone who himself or herself had resided, or those who have relatives
or friends who resided in Australia for more than 3 months are excluded
from this competition. There is a prize for those who get 95% correct
results. But like all promotions or competitions, please watch out
for the fine prints. |
